Jack

Jack was a standout from the very beginning. When I bred the Nalu x Eden litter, my dear friend Ann Harris in Ontario was on the list for a show/performance/hunting male. When the litter was born, there were just two males, one orange/white and the other tri. I knew the tri would go mismarked. And the orange/white male was so striking, even at birth, that I just knew he was destined for Canada.

Jack showed amazing natural bird instinct from the very beginning, literally the day Ann brought him home and put him on a chukar. From there, he has flourished. A natural retriever, natural backer, and just a natural in the field, he is driven and biddable and has a nice range. Ann works wonders with her dogs on her farm, and Jack received the very best intro to field work. From there, Mike Moser put the finished touches on Jack and earned his Senior Hunter title before the age of 2, a huge feat! Ann then got his Field Dog Advanced on him, which is the Canadian equivalent to the AKC's SH. Jack will return to Mike in 2025 to work on his Master Hunter title, and we have high hopes for them!

In the show ring, Jack has been shown very sparingly, but with fabulous results. He took Best in Sweeps at the ABC Summer Specialty in PA, which is the American Brittany Club's equivalent of a rotating national. He's also taken several Best of Breed wins in both American and Canada, from the classes over specials. As a special, he has made the cut in group. 

At home, Jack is a cuddle bug and Ann's constant companion. He loves everyone and everything and is just a sweet, sensitive soul. He is rocking it at nosework and is a great uncle to young Kipper, who is from our 2024 Winston x Ivy litter.

Jack is a powerful, clean, big mover, with beautiful bone and feet, rock hard topline, and a solid and compact build you'd want in a hunting dog. He has always had beautiful dark almond eyes that gives him the soft expression desired in a bird dog. His coat is thick but tight to his body and perfect for the field. He is a dog we are very proud of and look forward to following his next adventures!
